How does Open Data impact society? What value can society derive from Open Data? How can Africa create economic value from Open Data? These are some of the questions that will be explored at the upcoming Open Data Summit that will take place in Cape Town.
This Summit will highlight the value of Open Data for society by featuring the City of Cape Town's local government Open Data Initiative, and by showcasing how the Cape Town startup community, civil society and academia have used Open Data.
The event also intends to introduce investors and donors to an expanding sector that seeks and supplies Open Data to achieve development goals in Africa and across the globe.
