The Smart Communications Systems Research Group invites you to a workshop on:
Trends in Wireless and Mobile Networking & Human Factors on Intelligent Interactive Systems
Workshop Dates: 3 and 6 April 2017
Venue: B2 Lab 219, Centre for Telecommunication Secretariat, University of Johannesburg, South Africa.
Please RSVP to Mrs Wendy Smith (E-mail: [email protected]) by Thursday, March 30
Workshop Content:
The workshop focuses on the current trends in Wireless and Mobile Networking and
Technologies, such as the recent hype on 5G, the Internet of Things (IoTs), and the birth of Nano-networking.
The workshop will cover LTE and 5G and Nano-networking fundamentals. Intelligent interactive systems should
not ignore the individuality of the user. Each user has unique human cognitive processing styles and abilities.
How can an interactive system adapt to human cognitive and emotional factors with the aim to deliver a
personalized and more usable interface? The workshop will present some approaches on how individual
differences in human cognitive processing and emotional factors place the user in the center of every day
interaction.
