The SAIEE - IEEE Distinguished Volunteer Award promotes the spirit of volunteerism by recognizing a volunteer active in the IEEE, SAIEE or both organizations.
The volunteer:
The Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) is committed to building the business and leadership skills of entrepreneurs; helping them to develop sustainable, efficient and profitable enterprises that are able to employ more people. To focus this support, GIBS has created the Enterprise Development Academy, a centre of excellence for the growth of new and existing businesses.
Below is the first call for papers for the exciting 2016 ICSEE - International conference on the Science of Electrical Engineering in Israel.
The conference will be held on the 16-18th of November 2016 in the beautiful Queen Sheba Hotel in Eilat.

The 5-days summer school “Antennas for Radio Telescopes”, supported by IEEE South Africa Section, part of the European School of Antennas (ESoA), will be held at Stellenbosch in Nov 21 - 25, 2016.

The IEEE EAB Pre-University Education Coordinating Committee (PECC) is pleased to announce the establishment of Maker Event Seed Funding* to assist IEEE Sections, Chapters, Student Branches, Affinity Groups and individual IEEE Members in engaging pre-university students in organizing maker events in their local community.
The Fund for Internet Research and Education (FIRE Africa) is a venture between AFRINIC, The Internet Society (ISOC) and the International Development Research Center (IDRC) that supports projects that use ICT to develop innovative solutions to Africa's unique education, access, information, infrastructure and communication needs.
In 2016, there are three types of grants:

Provide four Grants of up to US$25,000 each for projects aligned with one of the following categories:
Professor Duncan Charles Baker (PrEng, SciNat, Fellow IEEE, Fellow SAIEE, Hon Member Russian Popov Society) passed away on Saturday, 12 March 2016.
Duncan Baker was a well respected engineer, educator and professional volunteer.
The Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS)’ Enterprise Development Academy (EDA) is excited to officially announce an extension on the invitation for entries to the Small Business Boost Programme, specifically intended for those in the green economy.
This programme is free to small business owners, as it is funded by J.P. Morgan.
